There is a difference between perpetual defiance and compulsive falsehood, but Pakistan seems to have abundant talent for both.
For a comprehensive course in fabrication of accepted truth, I suggest readers visit our dear neighbours. Not only would you be taught how to be an expert in chicanery but you would be given additional training in how to accuse truth speakers and come out with your head held high.
Up until now, the self-created Frankenstein tried to throw back truth-converted-into-lies so vehemently back at India. But the bubble burst yesterday as "state actors" in Pakistan accused India of funding terrorism through its spies. Pakistan arrested four Indians in connection with Wednesday's Lahore blast, but their fallacy ultimately rose to the surface and the egg, or rather a well-cooked omelette, is on the government's face after a pro-Taliban group 'Ansar wa Mojahir' claimed responsibility for the attack which resulted in the loss of one life.
Now what, President Zardari? Any more arrows-disguised-as-boomerangs in your quiver of lies? Now what, PM Gillani? Some more war rhetoric please. We are getting accustomed to it. But why to blame this duo? The real power lies in the hand of the Pakistani Army which is using the democratic system as a mouthpiece to warn India about the dangers that lie ahead.
First the round-robin denial of Ajmal Kasav's nationality, then the denial of Pakistani involvement in Mumbai 26/11, then the accusations towards right-wing groups in India, then the accusations towards India in general and now this. Conscience is lacking and action is unlikely to be taken as Pakistan's firm stand in the war against terror is not only one of blatant arrogant but also mendacious and shocking.
Some more gibberish that we just cannot tolerate is Pakistani media persons and ex-Army men pleading with India about Pakistan facing a number of Mumbais every day. Is India responsible for the carnage in the country? Is India sending gangs of armed fanatics to unleash their bullets on innocent Pakistanis? Is India the cause of an unstable democracy? Is India bloody responsible for the failure of Pakistan as a state?
Backstabbed we are, friendless we are, but a united India is good enough for every anti-India entity, be it state or non-state, to be taken care and packed away into history. Be warned.

The whole concept of Pakistan is based on falsehoods and hate and denials. So, they have no choice but to keep moving from one lie to another. The lies are all-pervasive and the propaganda vicious, just to keep the state together. It is indeed a miracle that the country has survived so long on such a base.
Terrific post Jay. You have hit the right nails at the right spots. On fine day one such nail is going to crack the skull open and let all the putrid muck flow out...sooner the better.

Great post! I cannot think of any other country which has lied as much as Pakistan has. I wonder what more lies will the creative minds in the Pakistani establishment come up with in the near future. I am sure they are going to get more amusing by the day.

@Kislay
Possibly. Thanks.
@Vinod Sharma
Thanks. The muck is going to be extremely disgusting too. :-)
@Krishna
Thanks. Yeah -> A republic of lies. The problem is we are getting lost in their amusement and focussing on those musings rather than seriously coming to terms with the amount of falsifying done in the neighbourhood.

Bravo! The last line really brings out every Indian's sentiment these days. Kasab not being recognised as a Pakistani is a small thing-what about thousands of fishermen arrested by Pakistan just to exchange them for genuine Pakistani offenders in our jails?You speak well here trailblazer
& for all this and more, you are being awarded! Visit my blog :)

Everybody knows Pakistan's involvement in the terror attacks. India does. Pakistan does. America does.
Its just the whole nuclear situation plus the US's interests involving Pakistan that allow Pakistan to say anything and the world to believe them.
Remember the Kargil war? They kept insisting that their army was not involved even when India produced their ID cards from the dead soldiers, as well as other very solid proofs.

Well written Jay.
And rightly said.

Why are we so focussed on Pakistan. What have our leaders done to secure us? Our security set up is pathetic and that is the reason for the attack.

Pakistan Government is something and Pakistan Military is quite another. Government wants to help India, but than the Army is stronger and instructs the Goverment to retrace all their statements. The government is now only acting as being in Power while the military is leading. The US will use them till its objectives are achieved in Afghanistan. Thats why US is not exposing Pakistan.
We have to fight our own battle. It is our biggest misfortune we share a border with them... This is a future Afghanistan !!!

I really dont understand if they are deliberately mendacious or thats just the way they are. Following are some of the wide spread beliefs in Pakistan contrary to the truth and our beliefs:
1. Pakistan never lost a war against India
2. They kicked our a**es in 1947 and 1965
3. In 1971 they gave up East Pakistan because they never really wanted it.
4. They again defeated India in 1999 Kargil War
5. 1 Pak soldier = 4 Indian soldiers
1 Pak aircraft = 4 Indian jets
These are some of the most prevalent believes there along with a lot others and its really difficult to understand how their psyche works

@Kiran
Thanks for the award.
@AmreekanDesi
I would agree. The nuclear situation is making us weak.
I remember the Kargil war. They left their dead soldiers to rot.
@Mampi
Thanks
@L.Venkata Subramaniam
Not really. I agree that leaders have erred but the focus should be on the enemy.
Such an attack, even American security analsysts have agreed, would be difficult to foil as the terrorists were extremely well-trained.
Leaders are at least our own. Devil, Deep sea.
@Hitch Writer
Yes. In fact, potentially worse than Afghanistan where the democracy is at least stable in the areas where it is active. With Pakistan, the democracy is completely unstable and more of a puppet.
@White_Angel
Delightful "facts" there, Jimit. Thanks for the sites.

Pakistan will always remain in denials till they have America's backing. No matter what U.S. says, they still have a soft spot for Pakistan. Remember what U.S. did to Afghanistan after 9/11? Well, I wonder if they would have done the same to Pakistan, if Pakistan would have been involved in 9/11?
I actually doubt that they weren't.
