India

They say that India is a lie because its reality falls so far short of its ideals. They are wrong. India is not a lie; it is a disappointment. But it can be a disappointment only because it is also a hope. [Pragmatic Euphony]

Well, umm yes. As long as you just say it and have no further intentions to invite me to your bedroom. :-)

However, credit to the link where I found the quote.

So many wars can be avoided and fresh ones started because words can be so subtly twisted and molded to mean far more than what they normally would, right? :)

@MirrorCracked
Ha! Yes.

@Solilo
The "India is a lie" is a dig at the ideals of the country. Many cynics say that India falls short of its ideals and the escapist nature of us keeps us going, at the cost of our ideals not being observed.

However, India is a disappointment because the truth is that many ideals are yet to be fully inculcated into the Indian mindset. But being a disappointment also means being a hope. That a day will come when all ideals have been embraced by all people.
